Convergenze
A program on territorial transformative innovations involving the necessary convergence of intentions, approaches and actions among public sector, economic actors, third sector, and civil society.
About us
Social Seed 's experience in supporting public bodies, third sector and cooperation has revealed a series of problems and needs spread across the territory. It is up to local development - both in terms of territorial policies and actions and in terms of social projects and production chains - to embrace them in order to adapt to the ongoing changes.
In 2024 the association Convergenze APS was born with the aim to promote a transformative approach to public policies making, through a process of capacity-building addressed to public administrators, managers, policy makers , entrepreneurs and cooperatives.
The challenge is to overcome a project- and sector-based approach to tackle the change of complex systems, as also required by European and national programming and funding. The transformative approach addresses these needs. Our working method is the one of mission-oriented policies and new forms of governance among territorial actors .

What we do

School of Higher Education
Training for public and private managers and administrators
A learning space and laboratory on mission-oriented policy method aiming to stimulate challenges desinging, sharing of experiences, contact with experts and international cases, and the creation of new partnerships on common goals.

Acceleration of some territorial innovation programs in partnership
among promoters or through the initiative of a promoter.
The institutional capacity to lead mission programs must be stimulated starting from place-based opportunities and existing programming and financial tools, towards the aggregation of single project actions to overcome the sectoral logic.

Desing collaboration on territories and on transformative challenges
Create a place to produce common intentions and actions, stimulating the direction of funds and financing through a broad programming in the challenge and concrete in the consequences, through the construction of mission portfolios.

Research on territorial transformation policies
and development programs

Why?
Convergenze came from a widespread need of territorial actors to find new points of convergence within action and policy planning to produce transformations in the territory.

Why do we need a program on transformations?
A new approach is needed to manage territories, funding, sectors, and drive them towards transitions by systematizing resources and actions.
It is necessary to create a place of exchange and coalition between public, private and third sector actors, that is based on common challenges and directions.

What is needed is a support for projects that brings together actors who follow common but not always aligned project lines, in order to avoid duplication and to accentuate the value of individual programs.
We need to work on the vision and anticipation skills of public administrators and economic actors.
Target
Convergenze aims to build working and development environments that can stimulate different actors to interact, on guided by missions and transformation policies.

-
To transform a territorial system and to operate by a mission-based approach implies finding new forms of engagement, governance and collaboration among actors through a new programming method.
Why is it necessary to interact and converge?
-
Territorial actors usually operates in different areas of expertise and for differentiated programs, rather than in collaboration: it is necessary to bring together the actions of different sectors and actors starting from their mission purpose.
-
Different projects and programs often duplicate efforts or lack common levers and triggers: it is necessary to direct the actions, ideas, fundings and programs of all actors towards a model of common management based on mission objectives.
